DQ Workshop: Strategies for Success
Join me to learn how to be successful with DQs right from the start! I'll share what I've learned, both from my experience as a successful second year student and from my experience tutoring other students in the MACP program.
I'll give you my top tips on what to write in your initial posts and in responses to your peers. You’ll also learn about writing with an academic tone, basic APA citations, how to read and take notes effectively, how to find outside sources, and more!
APA Basics Workshop: Strategies for Success
Join me to learn how to get started with APA citation! Once you know the basics, APA isn’t hard!
I’ll share my APA Quick Guide that will help you cite the most common sources with ease. I’ll explain the APA guidelines for proper in-text citations and references lists and show you how to easily create citations using popular tools like Citation Machine and Zotero. Plus I’ll show you where to find the free online resources I use most often!
Time Management Workshop: Strategies for Success
Join me to learn how to plan for success while juggling work, home, and school life! I'll share what I've learned as a successful second year student and what I’ve learned from the experts.
We’ll talk about all things organization, including creating a master calendar, building schedules and routines, planning time for self-care, household tasks and meal planning (everyone’s gotta eat!), and more!

Join me to learn the essential study skills that will help you work smarter and manage your time better!
I’ll teach you effective reading, note taking, and writing strategies that will save you time when completing DQs and assignments, while increasing your understanding, clarity, and ability to recall the information when you need it. I’ll also show you step-by-step how to do an advanced search to speed up your research and find what you need!
